Join the Seven Network on Sunday for an extended edition of Weekend Sunrise live from Brisbane as Australians celebrate the Matildas’ inspirational FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ efforts at a special community reception.

From 10.30am AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus, Weekend Sunrise’s Monique Wright and Matt Doran will cross live to Mel McLaughlin and Matt Carmichael at Brisbane’s Riverstage in the City Botanic Gardens where the Matildas will have the honour of receiving the Keys to the City.

It is here fans will have the chance to thank their football heroes and celebrate their historic FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ campaign to reach the third-place play-off, Australia’s best-ever result at a FIFA World Cup™, men’s or women’s.

The Matildas have captured the hearts of the nation in their gutsy campaign for a maiden title, turning the country green and gold and crushing attendance and TV ratings records along the way.

Seven’s coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ has so far reached 14.04 million broadcast viewers, plus another 3.4 million on 7plus. More than 433 million minutes of content has been watched on 7plus to date.

The Matildas take on Sweden in the play off for bronze, from 5.30pm AEST today, 19 August, on Seven and 7plus.

And the Final showdown between England and Spain kicks off tomorrow from 7.00pm AEST, live and free on Seven and 7plus.
