Luke circumnavigates Southern India discovering the cuisines, sounds, and colours of this captivating region. Immersing himself in India’s spices, ancient traditions, and unique locations, Luke gets to know local cooks and chefs, experts and loveable characters who introduce him to the wonderful world of Indian cuisine.
Episode Three:
Luke makes his way to Fort Kochi and it’s at this historic harbour town he begins his journey along the ancient Spice Trade Trail. Luke joins a Chinese Fishing Net crew and helps pull in a big catch.
The next stop for Luke is a labyrinth of lakes, rivers and canals known as the Kerala Backwaters, which was the highway for the spice trade.
