Beyond Paradise Australian Premiere Saturdays at 8.30pm from March 4 Available on Foxtel On Demand and Binge Starring: Kris Marshall & Sally Bretton 6 x 60′ This spin-off from the phenomenally popular Death in Paradise follows DI Humphrey Goodman and his fiancée, Martha, as they leave London to start a new life on the Devon coast. Seeking a quieter life away from the stress of the city, Humphrey (Marshall) has taken a job as a Detective Inspector in fiancée Martha’s (Bretton) hometown. However, they soon find that country life is anything but peaceful and Humphrey can’t help but be distracted by the town’s surprisingly high crime rate with a new, and very different, case challenging him and the team each week. The not-so-sleepy town of Shipton Abbott will be rocked by an entire family disappearing without a trace, a woman claiming she was attacked by a suspect from the seventeenth century, the robbery of a highly prized painting, a body bizarrely discovered in a crop circle and a serial arsonist with a seeming distaste for local businesses. As Humphrey gets stuck into his new job, he and Martha must also navigate life’s ups and downs, as faces from the past, the decisions they make and the challenges of setting up life in a new town put their relationship to the ultimate test yet. Can a now engaged Charlotte come to terms with her feelings for Colbourne? When Charlotte returns to Sanditon with her fiancé in tow, she’s forced to confront her feelings for Colbourne. Can the two keep ignoring their mutual attraction? Meanwhile, Georgiana battles in court to protect her newfound inheritance and the public scrutiny sends her spiralling out of control. Lady Denham rediscovers an old flame from her youth and Edward insists that he’s a new and reformed man – but will Augusta Markham’s fortune be too irresistible a proposition? The year is 1953, and the sleepy Cotswold village of Kembleford is stirred by such dastardly deeds as murder at the local holiday camp and at Lady Felicia’s illustrious New Year Masked Ball. With a killer in his midst, could this be the last waltz for Father Brown? He also faces a race against time to unmask a mystery attacker before pernicious newcomer Lord Hawthorne has him hounded out of the parish… for good! Midsomer Murders – Series 22 UKTV Premiere Saturdays at 8.30 March 25 Starring: Neil Dudgeon, Nick Hendrix & Sinead Matthews 4 x 100′ This series follows Barnaby and Winter as they investigate an urban myth becoming a murderous reality, a post-operative heart rehabilitation club whose members’ dreams of a second chance at life are cut short, a murder mystery weekend, a twisted scarecrow festival and an amateur dramatics company with deadly secrets. Richard Osman House of Games – Series 2 Australian Premiere Mondays at 6.30pm from March 20 25 x 30′ Our presenter really loves games, and now he’s putting all that knowledge to work in this brand new quiz where celebrities go head-to-head in a succession of entertaining rounds of knowledge-based games, all carefully curated by our quiz-crazed host. Each episode, our four famous challengers compete in fast-paced rounds of general knowledge games, selected at random by the press of our presenter’s desk button. The questions in each round reimagine familiar subjects in new ways, lacing the games with moments of strategy that our celebrities can use to gain an advantage over each other. The same celebrities return each day over the week, building up points on the leaderboard as they vie to become the weekly winner. At the end of each episode, the celebrities take on a quick fire round to decide the daily winner, cumulating with the week’s champion crowned at the end of the week. Celebrities this series include Josh Widdicombe, Tom Allen, Rachel Riley, Miles Jupp, James Acaster, Rory Reid and Susie Dent. Louis Theroux: Forbidden America (MA15+) BBC Earth Premiere Thursdays at 9.40pm from March 23 3 x 60′ Louis Theroux returns with a gripping series exploring three controversial corners of American entertainment, and meets those accused of dangerous, toxic, and criminal behaviour. He meets the content creators of the far right and their leaders, who are breeding a fast-growing ‘dissident’ nationalist movement. He meets the rappers striving for glory, those who have risen fast and those who have fallen hard. And as the porn industry grapples with its own MeToo movement, he meets the accused and the accusers. Is justice being handed out fairly?
