NHL on ESPN – The National Hockey League hits Australia for the first time ever with two highly anticipated clashes between the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings on Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24 – live on ESPN.

Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne is the site of the NHL’s first ever trip to Australia as the Global Series takes centre stage this weekend.

Fierce rivals Arizona Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings clash across a two-game series in front of a raucous Australian crowd.

Game One in the NHL Global Series between the Coyotes and Kings will air live on ESPN at 2pm AEST on Saturday September 23.

Game Two will follow on Sunday September 24, also live at 2pm AEST on ESPN.

The Coyotes will be led by forward Clayton Keller, whilst Kings centre Anze Kopitar will be the one to watch in the Los Angeles lineup.

When the two teams last met in the NHL regular season, the Coyotes and Kings had to go to a shootout – where Los Angeles eventually prevailed 6-5 – in one of the most thrilling games of the year.

The Global Series continues the National Hockey League’s push into new markets and the league has hosted games in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and England – with Australia the next chapter.

ESPN remains the exclusive home of the National Hockey League across Australia and New Zealand.
