Tonight | State of Origin II on Channel 9 and 9Now

State of Origin II on Channel 9 – Australia’s biggest stadium will host Australia’s biggest sporting rivalry when Ampol State of Origin II is exclusive, live and free from the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 26, on Channel 9 and 9Now at 7.00pm AEST.

Billy Slater’s Queensland Maroons can seal a third straight series under his guidance with victory at the MCG, where the stage is set for their captain, Daly Cherry-Evans, to unleash the electrifying stars “Reece Lightning”, Reece Walsh, and “the Hammer”, Hamiso Tabui-Fidow.

After a crushing first-game loss in Sydney, it’s win or bust for the New South Wales Blues. In their time of need they will call on the magic of two Mitchells: Latrell Mitchell and Mitchell Moses.

Big in both stature and profile, don’t miss Nine’s exclusive sit-down interview in the pre-game coverage with Latrell Mitchell, who breaks his own media ban to give an insight into his journey back to a Sky Blue NSW jersey.

The Wide World of Sports exclusive Origin coverage will feature special guest commentary from injured Melbourne Storm and Queensland playmaker Cameron Munster.

Hosted by James Bracey, the biggest and best names in the game will form the commentary team for Origin II, with Origin legends Cameron Smith, Andrew Johns, Brad Fittler, Johnathan Thurston, Phil Gould, Darren Lockyer, Paul Vautin, Paul Gallen and Allana Ferguson on hand to dissect all the action.

On the sideline, Danika Mason is joined by Fittler and Lockyer, with Emma Lawrence outside the venue to soak up the pre-match atmosphere at the MCG.

In commentary for Origin II is Mathew Thompson, who will be joined by two of the greatest NSW and Queensland representatives ever, Andrew Johns and Cameron Smith.

The Today Show will kick off game day from Federation Square in Melbourne, where Karl Stefanovic, Sarah Abo, Brooke Boney, Alex Cullen and Tim Davies are live from 6.00am to capture all the excitement and build-up to Origin II.

ARIA Award-winning band The Temper Trap will rock a packed-out MCG before kick-off, and basketball legend Lauren Jackson will check in before the Opals’ Paris 2024 Olympics campaign begins next month.

9Now will stream the game live, with three additional second-screen streams to choose from, ensuring viewers don’t miss a thing:

  • Player Cam QLD – Reece Walsh
  • Player Cam NSW – Latrell Mitchell “Trellavision”
  • Spidercam – An eagle-eye view of play to take you even closer to the action

After the game you can catch up with 9Now mini-match for all the best bits in a 20-minute breakdown.
