My Way on Channel 9 – Back for another lap around the sun, My Way dishes up a Sunshine Coast special, jam-packed with renowned chefs, restaurants and coastal charm fit for a foodie, this Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Returning to TV screens across the nation for its eighth season, My Way continues to bring viewers the success stories of incredible locals who are turning their dreams into reality. The first episode of the new series serves up a selection of Sunshine Coast locals whose stories are sure to leave viewers hungry for more.

Culinary powerhouse Tony Kelly grew up cooking in the family kitchen, and little did he know he would become a name the Sunshine Coast knows well. Cooking took him around the world and back home to the Coast, where he developed several different brands, all ingrained in the local food scene. His latest passion is the mouthwatering Bocca Italian restaurant on the doorstep of Bokarina Beach. With a focus on ultra-fresh produce, some of the vegetables and herbs used in its dishes are grown right in Tony’s backyard garden. There’s no better way to enjoy a fine meal and the scenery of the Sunshine Coast than a trip to his restaurant.

Josh Donohoe’s Creative Tours show us the hidden gems and inner beauty of the Sunshine Coast region.

With a drive to connect people to produce, Josh has created an authentic farm-to-fork experience. His award-winning small business takes visitors behind the scenes to local farms, restaurants, wineries, distilleries and breweries in stunning locations. With multiple trips on offer, Creative Tours is a “must” for grabbing an authentic slice of the Sunshine Coast.

Ryan Fitzpatrick fell in love with cooking at a young age, and by 19 was a fully qualified chef.

He went on to gain local and international experience at top restaurants, aboard superyachts, and even by catering for celebrities. With his partner Rashi, Ryan created The Ohana Group and produced his newest venture, Venu, on the Sunshine Coast. Ryan sources local and native produce to create an amazing four-hour dining experience, where lucky guests get to observe his super skills firsthand.

One of the lucky people who can say they are living out their childhood dream is Paul Schnek, who grew up on the Mooloolaba dock and also travelled the world as a chef. Although he may have been half a world away from home, his heart and mind never left. Now, back on the Sunshine Coast for good, Paul has returned to his childhood hangout, Mooloolaba Fisheries, as manager. There you get premium seafood, and Paul believes there is no better place to sit down for prawns and a beer.

My Way on Channel 9 – turne in to see these coastal trailblazers pursuing their passions, this Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 Queensland and nationally on 9Now.
