Seven will move production and presentation of The Latest: Seven News from Sydney to Perth, with TV Central announcing the first bulletin to air out west on Monday 18 March, 2024 at 10.30pm.

Due to the time difference, the bulletin will be read at 7.30pm local time, optimizing resources, creating synergies and reducing the cost of the program.

A host for the bulletin has not been announced but it would seem likely that either Charlotte Goodlet or Tim McMillan would be favourable either separately, reading together or splitting days.

To prepare for the changes, The Latest will not air the week commencing Monday 11 March with the Perth launch coming in the following week.

7News Perth is the #1 news service in Western Australia and with the shared resources of The West Australian newspaper, Seven West Media have had an unbeatable record for decades. Local 6pm presenters, Rick Ardon and Susannah Carr are getting closer to the magic 40 years of reading the news together – a world record.

The #1 news team in WA are well placed to resourcing, presenting and producing the bulletin with no changes to the integrity or quality of the bulletin.

The Latest on Channel 7 and 7plus – from Perth starts Monday 18 March at 10.30pm
